Uni-Fab was started in May of 1985 in Milpitas California by Paul Hitchcock, his vision was to create a company that would produce the best quality precision sheet metal and machining components possible. Uni-Fab quickly became the Silicon Valley leader of cosmetically finished Stainless Steel weldments; specializing in #4 Stroke Sanded and #8 Mirror Finishes for the Semiconductor Equipment Industry.
With steady growth, the Company moved to a larger 70,000 sf facility located in Fremont on April 3rd of 2015. The Company expanded in all departments; adding newer state of the art equipment, Electrical Assembly, Powder Coating, and Silk Screening.
On October 3rd of 2022 Uni-Fab opened a second facility in the Central Valley community of Mountain House, California. This 83,000 sf, state of the art facility is a carbon copy of the Fremont Facility. Having this manufacturing footprint in the Central Valley allows us to tap into the abundant Central Valley labor pool and it allows our current Fremont personnel that live and commute from the Central Valley to transfer to Mountain House.
